Hi. I’m Bill Farrell. I’m pleased to be the Ambassador for the Australian Farrell’s. I live near Melbourne, in the Dandenong Ranges, with my wife Carla. We have 2 children and 1 granddaughter who all live in Melbourne. In my working life I was a civil engineer, but am now retired.
I was born in Shepparton ( about 2 hours north of Melbourne) and have lived and worked there on and off over the years. My father Jim ( the last Farrell of his generation) still lives there, age 96 years.
My Farrell’s came to Australia in the gold rush period of the mid 1850’s and settled near Castlemaine and it was my grandfather who moved to Shepparton in the early 1920’s.
I enjoy researching my family’s history. I’ve been back to Longford twice so far, in 2017 and to the 2018 Rally and loved every minute of both trips. I look forward to my next trip- to the 2026 Rally and catching up with old friends and meeting new ones.
Thanks,
See you all in July.
Bill Farrell
