On Sunday 14th July the Farrell Clan Committee travelled to Athlone for our Summer outing. We began with a guided tour of Athlone Castle which was enjoyed by all. From there we went to the Hodson Bay Hotel on the banks of the River Shannon where we enjoyed an excellent lunch.
Pauric Farrell, Elvis impersonator from Glasgow entertained the gathering with a few of the Kings greatest hits. The Farrell Clan luck with the weather held once more as the day was sunny with no rain.
Thanks to all that travelled and those that organized, also John Maguire, Granard who provided the transport.

Sadly, our chieftain Connie was unwell and neither himself or our First Lady, Rose were able to attend. Here’s wishing him a speedy recovery and we hope to see him back at the head of affairs soon.
